Hi,
I've just bought a Skywatcher AZEQ6 as my portable mount, and am looking for a transport case for it.

Does anyone know if it would fit in to a Bunnings Craftright case? The external dimensions look OK, but I'm ot sure of the internal ones.....

Any other cases for it?

cheers
Gary

My NEQ6 Pro just fits in the larger of those cases, but I take the clamp off and store it in a cutout on the side, also rotate the head to clear the front of the case. Not sure if the AZ version would fit.

Looks like it but not with all the accessories.

Keep the stryo packaging it came with and just find a hard case for it. The Pelican Storm IM2875 seems to be a good fit but it aint cheap.

Ive got the Craftright XLarge rolling case for my AZ-EQ6 but i find it is too big and heavy. It is more suited for semi-permanent setups like keeping it in the boot of your car. Also I dont think they sell it anymore.

Thanks Glen for the heads up on the current larger Craftright case - I've already got a couple of the smaller ones (one originally bought for the fishfinder head unit for my boat - now being used for camera, eyepieces, handset, cables, Extn tubes etc and one used for the head counterweights and weight extn bar) - I assumed the larger one was too small for my EQ6 but hadn't considered taking the clamp head off (I've never done that). Might be a option after all.

Cheers,

Steve
