I was lucky enough that this was scheduled for me while I was out anyway looking at the conjunction, then lucky again as the only pic I captured was right around the terminator, tycho and the shadows of the nearly full moon.
1/1650s / ISO 800 / f10 / c9.25" 5 exposures stacked in Auto Stakkert + colour enhanced.
Taken from Byron Bay, June 30th.

Yeah sensational, only way you could top that would be to have frozen the ISS in the same frame as Jupiter and Venus...now THAT would be something huh?
Great stuff

This is one of the sharpest ISS lunar transits I've seen, well done!
Personally the colour is putting me off a little though, I prefer the more natural one you posted on IG :)

Oh goodness I just logged in to see all these comments and IOTW! Thank you so much!
As it was taken on DSLR the resolution is fairly high so the crop factor was quite good. Here is a crop in without the colour enhancement which I like as well :)
Way to go Dylan, both images are excellent.

Oh man, I can't quite believe it but the coverage has been somewhat unexpected. ISS transit photos aren't uncommon but it has resonated with many people which is wonderful to see.
It's been featured on 7 news television, ABC radio and online, 9MSN, Yahoo, CBS, The Weather Channel (USA TV), The Daily Mail, Gizmodo and even Huffington Post!
My phone has been beeping incessantly for days.
I have to hand it to IIS forums, the first technical publisher to feature the photo and my first post that wasn't in the beginner section. :) Thank you so much everyone.

Fantastic image Dylan, not surprised it has been shared around the world. The space station is so clear in it. I just noticed ESA have now shared it on their Flickr page. Well done mate!

Thanks.. yeh the European Space Agency (ESA) gave me a call yesterday and had a small interview then made it "image of the week" .. bang on their front page! Such nice guys!
This morning there were shares from AAIA and NASA Kennedy and Marshal space centres and Celestron as well :) Google news shows at least 52 syndicated sites but image search shows the photo on over 1000 websites. I'm glad people enjoy it so much, and so many news outlets reported the fact I'd released the image to the public domain. I've also uploaded the canon RAW on my website for the single frame that captured the ISS. http://deography.com
Crazy week :)

if I didnt know better I would have said it was superimposed...amazing

Hehe thanks! A few people thought it was superimposed actually, as well as the usual bevy of conspiracy theorists and moon landing deniers who dared me to release the RAW unphotoshopped frame. So I did :)
