This is a pic I took end of March with the FSQ and the Baader FFC x 3. I wasn't entirely happy with the process. I teased a little more details and I'm happier with the contrast and level of details of this one.

I have a HD version here (http://www.astropic.net/astro/keyhole_FSQx3_ha_HD.jpg) [1920x1403 - 1.1MB]
and a 70% version here (http://www.astropic.net/astro/keyhole_FSQx3_ha_fff.jpg). [2320x1695 - 1.4MB]

Will revisit with the C11 which should frame just the keyhole area nicely with better resolution. Enjoy.

Beautiful.

Is the Baader FFC like a barlow? So, effectively, you were imaging at 1590mm focal length?

Thanks guys. That'll do a nice scaffold for a higher res mosaic.

Thanks H. Yeah x3 so 1590mm. Image scale is 0.7asp and fov 42'x30'.

How much is one of these devices worth? :)

Check it here (http://alturl.com/hjtz7). Still cheaper and better quality than an assortment of powermates or barlows. That's why I bought it in the first place. All in one. x3 to x8 with no aberrations what so ever and no light scattering from UV to IR.

Marc, you got a lot of detail in your image. I like it a lot!

The only thing I would change is to relax star reduction - dark rings around stars is the only aspect I can think of that could potentially be improved.

Well done!

Yeah I got a little lazy with my star mask. I didn't reduce them but the deconv algo must have darkened and ringed some of them. I usually blur them with the FSQ and make them a little fuzzier otherwise they look too tight and burnt.

Thanks for the link, Marc!

I think I will hold off. Other potential pending purchase taking precedence. :)

That's very cool Marc. Depth and contrast are very good to my eyes. Easily look at this for a long time.

Thanks Trevor. I did some panels with the C11 last night. There are some mushroom shaped nebulae around the keyhole. :)

Thank you Leo.

Thanks guys. I did a longer FL shot on Friday but the seeing wasn't as good. It was coming and going.

I also had issues with Eta blooming on 180s exposures. I wasn't sure if it's meant to saturate the CCD with that sub length.
Even 1s/5s exposures on the homunculus would bloom.
