After almost a year long funds-related hiatus following an idiot-related accident frying my camera (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=122804), finally have it repaired and am trying to ensure I can still remember how to use all my gear for Astrofest.
Here's a simple Ha IC4628 Prawn. I know there have been a few lately, and I'm pretty sure I was posting prawns last time I used this camera. Anyway, here 'tis.

Welcome back!
Nicely done. There's interesting stuff in the bottom left corner of your nice widefield shot that we've not seen before.
Cheers,

Nice to see you back Troy. The image looks good but you might consider a bit more contrast to bring out the detail around the prawn.

Very nice Ha image. Welcome back.
As Paul said its a tad muted and could be lifted a bit more to add contrast.
What scope did you use?

Honestly - I loved it. Friday and Saturday nights here in Brisbane were great. Didn't get much sleep. :)
Thanks! I really like this region - the little blobs of gas bottom right, the dark lanes top left.
Thanks for the suggestion. I've added a bit more contrasty version above. Is that what you had in mind?
Thanks, Greg. As per above, had added a more constrasty version.
Scope was my TMB92SS with Orion Field Flattener.

Hmm maybe some where in between but that is more contrasted and looks better to me.
Good stuff Troy. FoV is ideal for this target. I'd prefer to see more contrast for a Ha only image. You can some details in there data that appear to be screaming out to pop. Hope to see some more of your work as you get back into the imaging rhythm.

G'day Jase/Paul. I'm trying to understand what you're referring to when you say more/less contrast. Are you talking about the whole image, or more localised around the actual prawn brighter nebulosity? Is it edge contrast you mean? Sharpness?

Looks very gaseous and there are some great fine details in there. Currently the dynamic range has been spread too thin (flattened), try pulling the curves and levels in PS to make the main prawn bit brighter, it should be the main bright object in the scene.
