Hi All,
Gum 39 and IC 2872 in HST narrowband. This took about three nights to acquire the data for, and it still needs quite a lot more, but, who knows when I'll get around to that.

Great image of a rarely targeted DSO, well done Stuart :)
Great work Stuart. Image looks crisp and detailed. I would like to see more of the OIII pushing through to give the image some balance (personal taste). Seems heavily red weighted but may have been your intention. Getting any imaging done in Melbourne has been a challenge.

I skimped a bit on the OIII and SII to be honest, I think that the image could do with more of both, then more Ha, overall, it probably needs more. There is very little in the object that isn't Ha, so striking a colour balance is difficult. This is somewhere between HST and natural colour.
Wouldn't go so far as to say great, but it is an image, you're right though it is rarely imaged.
See above re colour balance, there really is SFA OIII in the object. I've attached the hours worth of OIII so you can see that there isn't much. Melbourne weather of late has been frustrating, yes. It'll clear up soon as I'll be in Canberra for three weeks!!
Cheers

Nice job Stuart! I kind of like the colours portrayed in this one. OIII, judging by your attachment above is quite scarce. Well done on a not very often imaged object, as has been stated above.

Great work Stuart. I love the tiny stars on these ASA scope images. A trademark of those scope when they perform.
A few stacking edges showing requiring some cropping. Love the subtle colours.

Looks ok Stuart. It looks good with this colour palette.
Did you have some guide issues? The stars in the full res version are a bit eggy. Maybe there is an errant sub in the mix that is stuffing that up.
