I would just like to say hi to everyone:hi:
I'v been browsing these forums for a few months now and I'v finally decided to join.
I am just a beginner if the field of Amatuer Astronomy but from what I'v seen this is a great place to ask for help as many of you are experienced and very kind.
I have just joined the CAS (canberra Astronomical Society). The people there are extremely nice and there are many people who are willing to help a newbie such as myself.

Anyway, don't want to waste any more of your time, cyas round:)

BTW, you're not wasting anyone's time, and it's always nice when someone new introduces themselves.

Feel free to ask as many questions as you like.

As a starting point, try and get to do some observing with the Canberra group. In the meantime, sit yourself down on a comfy chair outside, with a red light and some star charts and get to know the night sky.
