Hi guys,
Well I did finally get a shot of Saturn on the weekend and now managed to process.
Over cooled my mirror a bit in my enthusiasm to get out and image, and this affected the resulting image which has been processed in WinJupos, Autostakkert2 and CS3.
Shows the indentation in the polar area near the Hex area really nicely thanks to the IR that I have blended in as the Luminance channel which is one of the great features of WinJupos.
Clear skies,
John K.

Nice John.
Amazing how much the IR adds to the image.
Well done.

That looks like good seeing at last. Love the dark dot in centre of NP.

ridiculous coincidence ..couldnt afford the house prices in Brunswick so ended up way in the outer suburbs....(lots of Μανiατες and Σπαρτιάτες in Brunswick.)
Incredible that you can obtain such high quality images from inner city Melbourne.
I am currently looking at investing in a astrophotographical set up. I have two very old telescopes without GOTO systems or anything fancy. A small 60mm refractor and a Newtonian)

Thanks again for the comments gents.
The IR685 filter is a winner in my mind and not truly an pure IR filter but more of a deep Red filter.
Don't think a goto is mandatory- I certainly don't have one - but most new mounts seem to have them.
