Hello all

Attached are some images of Saturn from the 12th June.
Seeing was fair to good occasionally. Times are in each image title.
I've also taken an IR set showing some northern latitude storm activity.

C14 @ 7900mm, ASI120MM, Astronomik RGB, Custom Scientific Bessel IR

Best wishes

Far out they are good Maurice, could you do a colour version using the IR data..?

Second this RE a blended version! keen to see how you go about doing it to, really want to do it with my IR images but not sure where to start!

The cold is putting me off Maurice, but I am planning a remote planetary imaging rig to get past that being in the cold business and having to stay up all night. Might be a few years yet.

That said, Saturn looks so good right now, so I will be trying to collect an image or two before this apparition is over. :)

Don't let that cold stuff bother you...its all in the mind...:D

Hi Krishan..
Converted RBG to Lab mode & blended the luminance channel with the IR image to taste.. see above

Yeah that looks great Maurice, more detail around the north (?) pole  the globe looks slightly smaller, or is that an illusion..?

Killer images Maurice. I am still amazed at the quality of these types of images. Really up there.

Are you planning to active cool your SCT?

Greg.
