Howdy gang!! I am not "Lost" but "Back" In Space!

I think it has been 7 years since I have logged back in and my account is still active! (thanks mike!)

Here is my story...
After drifting off on my hobby in Astrophotography due to mainly time constrains, I've made a few life changing moments. I am now married with a 1 year old girl! We moved house twice since then (yep still light pollution) so my personal life has changed quite a fair bit. Recently after printing some family canvas, my mind suddenly thought of my astro-photo's (which I have lost ALL due to my HDD suddenly failed).. I have to honestly say I missed it a lot. It is in my blood I now realised...

I really want to get back into it but slowly as I don't have any equipment left :P

For the one's who remembers me, I'm the dude who shot a lot of pics with my modded 350DA :)

Anyway, feel free to say hi if you still remembers who I am :)

Wow Eric, your pics were so inspiring for what a (talented) amateur could do with a newt when I was starting out. Glad to hear you've still got the bug, and hopefully a bit of time in between family duties.

Really sorry to hear about the HD disaster. Not good. You'll just have to shoot them all again though :D

Wow guys !!! Thanks for all your replies!!!! and am surprised still remembers me :) I missed all of you too and especially this great forum. Need a lot of catch up reading to do as I totally forgot all the pass things I have learnt. Collimation, polar drift, coma, guiding what?... :)

Wow, 7 years. Those were the days though. The first wave of DSLR imaging. Technology has evolved so much since then, as well as this forum.
Enjoy the new learning curve. :)

If you go back through your old forum posts Eric you can recover the low res ones at least. Better than nothing.

No need to hate coma anymore. The latest generation of coma correctors fix that, especially the Baader MKIII.

Have light pollution? No problem! Shoot straight through it in narrow band!

Baader MKIII? all these new toys! I think I had the MKII and that works wonders for F4 scopes. Yep, I have all my low res images but none hi-res. Wanted to make some canvas print .... might have to start from scratch again....

Probably something still budget .. looking at a possible GSO RC 6" or 8" setup with goto EQ5. Camera I don't think I can afford a CCD so might revent to a modified DSLR. (sorry H.) :)
