At first I was quite reluctant to share...Oh, what the heck! :)

However, it is an old photo and a new one is long overdue...hoping that in the next few weeks I will be able to produce something worthwhile.

Shameless self promotion is alive an well with a few on this forum. It makes'm feel important I guess.

But, enough of that, This is a very good shot, and from a balcony as well. Top shelf stuff.

You have already produced something worthwhile. That's a beautiful image. If you can improve on that ???? Well, I'm not sure how.

Congratulations Slawomir - no need for modesty. If you don't tell anyone how will we know - and you're an inspiration to others, well done!

Many congratulations on this award. I would like to ask Exactly what is the difference between this and AAPOD2 APOD?
Thank you,
Fabiomax

Congrats Slawomir, and yes Andy is right, you're an inspiration, and especially with your location. Pah! A balcony! In Brissy! That's insane.

Congrats on many levels. It's a very fine photo. So much to see, and nicely and subtly processed.

Do you have a link to a 1:1 original pixels version?

Thank you Simon. Yeah, shooting from a balcony has been a pain...but that's how I have always (in the past two years or so) been doing astrophotography...hopefully in the coming weeks we will move one suburb further away from the CBD and I will upgrade to a small backyard! Cannot wait!

Thanks Fabiomax. APOD is the real thing, while AAPOD2 is...for amateurs :)

Thank you Alex. Top shelf for me, but I can see other's shelves much higher up...

:thanx:

Thank you Andy.

Thank you Peter. One day I will make another attempt at this nebula - was thinking of a 2 panel mosaic.

Thank you Brett.

I know, it must have been a genius they guy who designed and made this nebula ;)

Thank you CosmicEcho.

As for self promotion, let he who has no pride cast the first stone... :)

Congratulations Slawomir!

No need for modesty - most of us want to know when IIS members' images have been recognised in ways such as this.
