William Optics Megrez 80 Fluorite
This is one of the rare limited production fluorite doublets made by William Optics in conjunction with TMB. It is a sentimental favourite but now surplus to my needs.

It has been professionally cleaned but unfortunately has suffered some damage to the optics in the past which I am told is called ‘scaring’ on a section of the lens. There are also a few dust particles. I have tried very hard to capture these issues in the photos. As far as I can discern the telescope still works fine for terrestrial viewing and for low power wide field astronomy but at very high magnifications on very bright objects the optics aren’t as good as what they once were.

Package includes William Optics hard case, foam packaging, OTA and gold lens cap only.


Asking $380 (or best offer) including postage to NSW, Vic or Qld

The included components are listed in the bottom of the advertisement

All WO Megrez featured a mounting foot (visible in photos) and don't need rings to be mounted. You can of course purchase rings as well but they are not necessary

This really is a nice little scope that deserves a good home.
