Approaching Venus 23 May 2015

Low elevation Venus during daylight last weekend. Greatest Eastern Elongation takes place on 7 July followed by conjunction on 16 August.

Same imaging configuration as my Saturn attempts, photographed in natural light with TeleVue 3X Barlow. Including a pic of my setup :)

very nice Sebastian. makes sense to nab venus in the daylight especially if you can get that quality of image. did you use IR or any filters?

Thanks Russell, no IR used as I do not have one yet ;). This apparition is a tad too low in elevation for us southerners.
