A question to EM400 owners. Does the mount use a 12V power supply (240AC to 12VDC Adapter) or a 24V?
If 12V would you know the part number of the 12V AC Adapter.

As far as I am aware - you can use either.
The Temma controllers from prior to the EM400 and later provide a higher slew rate with 24v than with 12v.
There was a 12v to 24v DC/DC converter floating around that was sold and specified for the Temma controllers in astro circles but any good quality 12/24-DC/DC converter should work OK.

Depends on the version of the Mount.
If it is a Temma 2M it will use a 12v source and the High and Low speed slewing is internally controlled. But they do not take a 24v source !!
Older EM400 used external 24v for the higher slew rate.
Also in-case you are looking at an older EM400 the Polar Scope will be out of date and you may want to up-date it.

My EM400 was the model that could use both power sources. That was about 7 years ago. I used a 12 volt power supply and so slewing was not very fast. Had I had a 24 volt supply slewing would have been quite rapid. I would contact Beren on this site he has my old EM400 and has used it extensively. He would be able to help with your enquiry.
