Hi guys.

Here's one of my last images from the session on the 14th September, when the waning moon was only 25° above the horizon.

This is a hi-res mosaic of Clavius, made up of 4 avi's, processed using over 50 alignment points in Registax4, with composition done in Photoshop.

It's my best hi-res Clavius image, with plenty of fine detail available to be seen. Unfortunately, I was ---> . <--- this close to being able to expand the mosaic to include the hi-res Moretus image (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=17169&d=1158709241) as well, but I was missing about 100-200 pixels worth of image in-between. That would've been quite a mosaic.

Also unfortunately, I didn't capture the bottom right area of Clavius :(

After combining in photoshop, I did ME deconvolution, followed by high-pass filter in Photoshop, then noise reduction and levels.

OMGosh, I can almost taste moondust in my mouth, that's how fine that image is.

Fantastic, I can't recall ever seeing any images of Clavius with more detail.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. I'm really enjoying imaging the moon lately, i'm just waiting for that night where it's *really* sharp and I don't have to work so hard in processing to get the image sharp.

The problem at the moment is the waxing moon is overhead, but during the evening when seeing isn't very good. The waning moon is at the right time of morning (good seeing), but it's so damn low in the sky!

It's all good practise.
