While still waiting for my FSQ to FLI Atlas adapter I spent a little time squaring-on the camera to my FSQ's 'scopes native focuser. I suspect there is still some residual tilt...but this will be difficult to quantify until the adapter turns up.

Anyway...a well worn object I know.... but the edge to edge correction of the FSQ I always find to be amazing.

here are the early results (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery354.html)

Where's the integrated flux, man! :D Its an Omega of the 90's look. Still a great image, tight stars and pleasing colours.

Ta Jase...yep just plain vanilla I know . I did see a little flux in the blue data...but I won't go mega on this until I get the Atlas adapter

Thanks...indeed Taka are in league on their own for wide field imaging.

Glad you liked it :)

Very nice Peter. Love that little galaxy at 12 o'clock near the top border.

Thanks Wayne

Much appreciated Greg. As for the FSQ...No.....But why settle for silver when you can have the gold standard?

I expect to have an AP GT130 with the new F4.5 reducer/corrector in the foreseeable future :jump2:

Ta. I think FSQ106 data has a certain "sparkle"

Excellent result. Are you sure it is not the array that's tilted? You'll love the Atlas on the FSQ.

Very nice Peter. Love the colour range in the stars.

Ta....I guess if I have a image hallmark that would be it :)

I've been to (the old) SBIG factory many times. Alan Holmes showed the the orthogonality rig they use to get the sensor square on...hence I'm pretty sure it's not the camera. Given the CFZ of the Taka is remarkably tight, I suspect the Atlas will indeed be most excellent

Thank you!

Well... maybe a standard deviation or so :)

Well, yes... I didn't want to point it out, but between the FSQ, 150mm AP, 12" RH and 16"Aluna RC, there is definitely a gap in your armory that needs to be filled.

No...no...I beg to differ. It's a 155mm AP

....the less we say about the Questar and Baby-FSQ the better :o
