HI Ramo
How do you get an image like that with a 90 sec shot you must have a large
telescope that is very good image taken.

Thanks Russell and Willik. I used my 8" Newt Willik; I only occasionally use my 80mm achro.

That's a delicious image Raymo. The detail and colours are amazing.
Keep digging deep!
Bruce.
Nice one Ray, if only you could have gotten another 16 subs.
Would have been so much more to work with.
Goran.

Thanks Bruce; that's the first time that one of my images has been described as edible.
Thanks also Goran. I have found quite a few more 253 subs; it just
remains to be seen whether the framing is good enough to stack them all together.

Hi Goran, hunted down some subs.
70 subs mix of 90-110 secs and mix of 1600 and 3200.
Pic added to original post.

I concur, chapeau!
No idea how you manage to get so much signal out of that kind of exposure time and also keep the noise down so much.
I used a 1100d as well before switching over to an Atik314L+ CCD and must say that I'm very impressed with your image.
Keep it up.

Thank you Mathias; all processing is done in DSS, except for a bit of sharpening and contrast in Canon's Zoom Browser EX. Noise reduction was enabled as always. No separate dark, flat, or bias frames used. All done with JPEGS. I find using raws too involved. Unfortunately I don't have a coma corrector.
SORRY retrograde [Pete] I just noticed that I failed to acknowledge your
comments when I originally posted this image.

Even more impressive considering that you're using jpgs! And no calibration at all. I'm really wow'ed that this works so well :-)
Good stuff!

Thanks Trevor, I am just about to post a repro of Eta; a somewhat different take on it.

I don't know how Mathias raked up this 5 month old thread to add
another comment to Trevor.
