With it being only seven weeks to go.
Who is going to VicSouth (http://www.vicsouth.com/) this year?
Will we have an IIS contingent, or are the five of us, maybe six from Albury/Wodnga the only ones?

I want to go to this John. My ASV membership has been filled out waiting to be mailed off for nearly 2 weeks. I just have not gotten around to it. been to post office twice already, forgot both times.
Looks like an excellent site for a star party.

Will be my first Steve. I think the skies there should be magic.
You don't need to be an ASV or ASSA member to go.
Hope you can make it Steve, would be good to catch up again.

Hey all
Sorry David, no sparky bits from me but there we many that were taking pics of the impressive light show that we had on Saturday. Lots of excellent people, scopes and red wine to compensate for staying under cover on Saturday night
Still sorting the pics, - but there is one that I have to post now before I fall into bed.
The hat is a really long story and needs to be told in its entirety.

Well as most of you would expect, not to much observing was done this weekend. As it turned out the public viewing on the Friday night was the only clear night for the whole weekend.
I didn't bother to get my camera out on that night as I wasn't expecting the rest of the weekend to be clouded out but them's the brakes. :)
I must congratulate Fraser Farrell for the tireless effort he puts in for the weekend, he's nothing short of a human dynamo. Great job mate! (You can stop lurking now and make your presence known. :P )
Cristian and Leon, it was great meeting you both. Leon you better start posting some of the 1000 photo's you must of taken. Every time I looked you were snapping something, Mike would of been proud of you!
Steve and Anthony, it was great to catch up again guys and I'm sure you'll agree it was a great weekend none the less, with a lot of laughs and jokes had by all.
To all the new friends we made (you know who you are. Stop hiding. :) ) thank you for a most enjoyable weekend, even though the weather Gods weren't kind you all made it worth while.
