After five months of weather and mount problems I finally got to try out the A7s on my 127mm Meade 5000 APO Triplet last Saturday night.:)
M83 30 X 30sec ISO5000,
Eta Carina 30 X 15sec ISO3200
Tarantula 24 X 30sec ISO1600
All stacked in DSS and processed CS5

Nice start, one thing I've learned with the cam is that it's not magic, it still loves collecting photons, so crank it up to 4-8 mins when you can

Looks very promising, Tony.
Tony, I know, working with high ISOs is very tempting, but I have some experience with Canon 60Da and I’d rather extend the exposure time to get more photons through the scope and keep the ISO at the low end. :hi:
As RickS said, looks promising .....

I've done a few ISO experiments and found the commonly agreed natural ISO of 3200 to be the true sweet spot. 1600 or 6400 are noticeably worse re. Noise and general appearance.
Nice one Tony, this camera looks to be a good catch ;) Yup definitely do longer subs/lower ISO. I do 180s@ISO1600 and 300s@ISO800, and with only say minimum 10-15 frames and dark frames there's not too much noise but plenty of data :D
