Ok, looking for a planetary imaging scope to replace the 10" GSO dob I have at the moment.
I want to be able to drive the scope with a dob driver II.
My main question is about the aluminium ALT bearing. How easy would it be to attach a large radius bearing to this current one.
I assume the current ALT bearing is simply aluminium, does anyone know how thick it is?
I would imagine I would drill say 3 to 4 holes in it so that the larger ALT bearing would bolt to this.
Anyone got some close up pics of this area?
I would also be very intersted in pictures of the base from underneath. I want to attach a cooling system to the bottom and then a cover over the base to keep the cold air in whilst cooling the mirror.
Thanks guys
Davo
