View Full Version here: : M83 - Reprocessed
Hi Guys,
First ever M83. Taken over two nights, 84x300sec @ ISO800 with the gear in my signature.
Thanks for looking.
Edit: Boosted saturation as per discussions below. Thanks again guys for the advise, I like it much better now.

Awesome shot Rex! Lots of fine detail in the spiral arms.
Well done Rex. A little more colour saturation perhaps? Looks like the histogram will take it. Keep them coming.

Nice detail, Rex. I also think you could bump up the colour!
Thanks Nicola.
Thanks Kevin, I've been dieing to have a crack at this one, finally got there. They were both exceptionally clear nights so was able to get reasonable data.
Thanks Jase, I'll give it a go and see how much colour noise comes out.
Thanks Rick. I will definitely give the saturation a bump up and see how it fairs.
Reprocessed this with a bit more colour. Added the pic to the first post for easy comparison. I like this version better, although I stuffed up and used an old date marker oops. (old date markers now deleted from my file store).

Nice going there Rex, 2nds much more natural looking - dig the arm details captured
That's a beauty Rex! Nice and sharp, and the sat boost has really helped
bring some colour out of the galaxy.

All the stars in the second shot are pink. Can you do a blend of the two images? Just push the colour up on the galaxy itself?
Thanks Bob.
Thanks Goran. I'm very slowly getting the hang of processing. Getting good advice from people with more knowledge than oneself also helps. ;)
Wow your right, thanks for the heads up. I can't believe I didn't see that before. I'll have a look and fix it up.
