Hi everyone, just thought I would share my latest image. It was taken with a Nikon D90 and Tamron 180mm F3.5 macro lens, mounted on a Skywatcher EQ5 go-to mount. 20x 120sec exposures plus 5 darks at ISO 400. I really am unhappy with the results as there does not seem to be all that much data to work with. I might try a lower ISO and longer subs tomorrow if the weather permits. Thanks for looking and any feed back would be much appreciated.

I would be going the other way, ie higher iso and shorter subs. Newer camera's have low noise at higher iso's especially in the cooler weather. Streetlight glow can also affect the colours if you have the white balance set to auto.

He's using a Nikon D90 - that's an old camera so maybe not a great plan.

Personally I think it's great. My only advice is also slightly shorter subs to reduce the elongated stars and just take more of them. You could boost the colour vibrancy a little more too.

Cheers,
