Hopefully you'll agree that this is my best 3D effort yet, I think I've stumbled upon the most effective workflow, using 3 different luminance mask selections for the key nebulosity structures.

Holy cow. That's amazing!
Pretty cool. Did you arbitrarily place the stars in different 3d planes or was their a more scientific approach using astrometry information on their distance used?

You've got a bit of camera wobble there. Try using a tripod next time. :)

Thanks chaps! Alas I don't use astrometry data, just my best approximation, though all the background stars are stripped from the original Pleiades image.
Nicely done Simon, looks very impressive indeed.
