M63 - The Sunflower Galaxy. Imaged over 2 nights in Mackay from my backyard.
NEQ6 Pro with Skywatcher ED100 @ F7.65. Guided by Orion Shortscope + PHD Guiding.
Imaged on Pentax K-3, 20x600s, ISO3200, Hutech LPS Filter.
Messier 63 (also known as M63, NGC 5055, or the Sunflower Galaxy) is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici consisting of a central disc surrounded by many short spiral arm segments. M63 is part of the M51 Group, a group of galaxies that also includes M51 (the 'Whirlpool Galaxy').

I gathered another 180 minutes of subs last night - it cleaned the noise up nicely (6 hours total now)

Nicely done, Mike. That one looks great but is a bit too far north for most of us.

Came out well Mike! When I first moved here 35 years ago I could have got it, but too much junk in the road now.
