Hi all
The sky didnt look that dark but after imaging some other things tried to see what the Helix is like using ISO 1600. It looked ok with a 5 min test image so started doing 10 min shots and kept going till it was getting too low in the west (west is slightly darker than eastern sky for me) Total of 12 images ISO 1600
uv/ir and UHC-S filter used, MPCC. Id have no chance of going deep without the UHCS filter, I couldnt even see the Helix in my 50mm finder, where its easy under dark skies.
10 inch f5.6 newtonian, yes, hand guided too, I was nearly asleep by the end lol.
Processed and Dynamic stretched in IRIS to preserve dymanic range, otherwise the bright parts would be burnt out in order to get the faint parts, finished off in Photoshop.
