The Cold Elements of Zen

Hi, all. Been a while since I posted here.

An abstract personal piece with multiple grounding elements, all bathed in the brushstrokes of the soft, gentle and golden Icelandic morning light.

I debated cropping the top portion of this composition. In the end, the scene worked best this way with contrasting shapes, colours and space.

I've been in a rut insofar as my imaging is concerned; having last picked up my camera for landscape work 15 months ago. Finally being able to give this the light that it deserves has spurred me on to dig deep into the archives spanning 6 years and start processing images again.

West Coast of Iceland.

I like this Humayun.
I didn't read you comments before looking and I couldn't at first decide whether it was water in a stream bed, or mist and cloud taken from high up over the landscape. Fortunately you left the top of the photo in :-)
Nice photo.

Welcome back H ,love the colour palette and the sweeping line that leads your eye around to the top. I think that leaving the solid area is important, gives me a comfortable place to rest and dip in and back out of the movement...like it a lot, will make a great large print
