This is 3h (12x900s) of Ha of the IC2872 taken with my usual optical train: FLT132+STT-3800m. Not quite happy with the focus this time … :screwy:

Incidentally, the beak is the small point protrusion on the left, the larger horizontal V shaped nebulosity on the right is the comb on her head :)

I'm new at this astronomy caper and I gotta say... I think they are stretching with the name of this one :) It's also the least majestic name there is! With even the vague form of a chicken they could have easily called it the Sleeping Dragon Nebula or something bad ass.
