Hi All,

I'm going to be heading down to the dark skies area this coming weekend and I'm trying to decide whether to try photographing the Running Chicken Nebula. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for capturing this nebula. For instance a question I have is, should I use my modded camera or an unmodded camera? The equipment I will be using is as follows.

Skywatcher Black Diamond ED120 refractor with 0.8 reducer/corrector
AZEQ6 Mount
Either Unmodded Canon EOS 6D or modded Canon EOS600D
Orion 80mm guidescope with Skywatcher Synguider

I may also consider autoguiding, although it will be my first time guiding, but I will be with a group of others who could help me out with any guiding issues.

Anyway any advice would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Tom

There's a lot of Ha in the Chicken. I'd suggest shooting it with the modded camera.
