G'day everyone,

The concept was sound and the system had worked for me quite well unfortunately in my situation the execution may not have been the best.

We have to move now, the concept was that I would be able to take everything with me to the new place but it appears that area that we are moving into will not be suitable because of the small sizes of the properties that are available. Renting is a bummer.

So in general I am keeping just about everything except for the concrete slab which I am willing to sell if anyone is interested.

The stability of my astrophotography was great I had no real problems. There appeared to be no vibration issues or anything else that I am aware that would happen to a non-solid set up.

I am willing to take all manner of offers, but I do wish to sell it for a small amount so I will consider every offer although all offers that will be presented may take some time before making a decision until I am ready to move. The concrete pad will need some sort of lifting mechanism, it can be done using a engine lift which I do not have but I believe they can be hired fairly easily. One of the bolts has broken off but under the circumstances these can be ground down and concrete anchors can be used instead as an alternative this is what I was intending to do if I was able to take the slope with me.

So if you are interested please let me know and if you wish to put a reasonable price not you more than likely can take away straight-away. I am not going to put a price on it other than I would be expecting to tries if I can get back products that I purchased to create it.

I have placed a photo of the pier and the very last image that I took using the complete set up. Please excuse the quality of the last image that I took as I haven't had enough time to process it. Image exposure was for 240 seconds.

I suppose I will have to find an alternative method of mounting the pier when I get to the new place.

It appears I was over concerned as most of the places we looked at renting could not cater for the concrete platform.

Now we have secured a place and the good news is that it will fit well in the new place.

Maybe a premature concern, appear the purpose of the removable observatory will work after all, not for the rushed though.
