Hi all,

This is my attempt at M83 with my newly acquired ES127ED triplet bought from a fellow IIS member. Its not as good as most here, but i'm actually please with the result considering there is nowhere near enough data to do it justice.

Atik 314L+ @ 0deg, Explore Scientific 127ED, Neq6 mount. Flats and Bias.

15 x 7min Lum unbinned, RGB each 10x3min binned 2x2. Guided.
Processed in Pixinsight.

All comments appreciated.

Thanks,
Goran.

nice one Goran,

I had noticed you had a lot of stuff for sale...
looks good, perhaps a tinge of a green cast (on my monitor?) that could be scaled back? Nice galactic detail.

Thanks Russell,
Yes it does seem to have some green left. It looked like I had corrected it on my screen, but it seems as though there is some left.

Russell I'm selling some gear to accommodate some new gear. I wish I could keep it all all but unfortunately I cant. I know I'll wish I hadn't sold some of the stuff one day....

Very good depth given the aperture and exposure so far. Nice form in the larger background galaxies. Good colour in the big one. Generally well processed. The slight blotchiness in the background will probably go away with more exposure.

Best, Mike

Thanks for your comments Mike,

The blotchiness seems to have come about while applying the TGV de noise in PI. I need to tweak the setting or change my technique to get a better result for sure.
