M17 Omega Nebula.

Hi,

Thought I'd use Omega as it seems to be it's proper name, with swan being part of the Omega Nebula.

This is a combination of images taken last year using ISO 6400 and 800.

I stacked them separately in DSS processed them in Ps2 then stacked them together again in DSS and then a final tweak PS.
I love the richness of colour in this image which is quite different to my original.

8" F/4 astrograph HEQ pro 5 mount. Orion mini guider.

Unmodded canon 1100D, baader type III coma corrector.

28 x 2 minute subs, ISO 6400 and 5 x 2minute ISO 800. Stacked in DSS, processed in photo shop Cs2..

Nice, perhaps somewhat alternative, colour scheme which may well be close to the true colour this nebula should be.. either way Justin it looks good regardless :thumbsup:
