Here are a few charts.
Widefield approx 14 deg field - Note crux in lower area for orientation
Then two narrower fields - approx 6deg for finder view, and 1 deg to approximate EP view.... limiting magnitude about 13 I think for EP view....

Hope this helps your hunt..... courtesy of Starry Night Pro. :)

:hi: Barb I wil be interested in if you see this object in your 12" as I have not seen it in my 16", but that does not mean it is not possible in your scope, it may decide on the conditions at the time:thumbsup:

Thanks guys for the charts. Ron I'm pretty sure I found it on Saturday night. :) Conditions weren't as good as I would have liked but looking at images taken on the net I felt reasonably certain I had found My Cn18.

I've been waiting for another chance to look again but weather conditions have been shocking so I'll have to wait for the next good night to confirm it.
Will let you know when I'm sure.
