I used the NBRGB combination script in Pixinsight to combine what little NB I had with the RGB I had managed to get in Jan. Not a huge amount of data but pleased with the way it came out.

Details
4 hours of HA and Oii combined with around 3 hours of RGB,STL6303e and the GSO RC8

Thanks for looking

Looks good David. You've done a nice job of combining the NB and BB images. Nice colours and good detail.

You should be, it's a very satisfying looking image Dave, nice job of combining data sets and I think the colours are about right too.

Lot's of good fun this processing game huh? :)

Pah...every time I try to process something I forget what I did last time. This time round though I took a good hard look at each area I usually cock it up on and hit them one step at a time. The image needs a bit of a lift possibly?

Thanks Geoff. That PI script is pretty good.

Very nice, David. It's a tricky object and requires skill even with PixInsight scripts to help.

Cheers,
Rick.

Looks pretty smooth David. Colour is good too. I think you could do some selective sharpening to the nebula itself in spots, just to give the image a little more punch.

Thanks for looking. I tried to do this last year but ran out of time and missed the blue as had Mono learner plates on. Lousy time of year to image this from Sydney.

Thanks Ross, appreciate the response.

Cheers Paul. I havnt figured out how to do selective sharpening in PI and not sure whether I want to get to that or alternatively do a bit of deconvolution instead? It would certainly tighten it up a bit as the seeing wasnt up too much when I was grabbing the data. Will have a tinker but I agree it needs a lift.

Thanks Rick.
