John Bambury (ausastronomer) and Andrew (rocket boy) are keen to head up to Kulnura this weekend.

I'll send an email to froggy and make sure it's ok.

I have no points to trade for the trip or else I would be there this weekend. But I might see, next saturday I will be doing a school demo (I get points for teaching kids)

Sorry guys I can not make this one...I've got a date with my wife ;)

She actually has organized someone to watch the kids and everything...I suspect she is expecting me to also take a bath and shave...

Hope you get fine weather!

Sorry RB. I am waiting on my adapter bar to come from the US. Then once I have the 12" mounted on the EQ6 I will need some help with teething problems:). I should be fine for October for sure, but this weekend would be a push. i will make some gentle inquiries with SWMBO and see if I can go. I really need the 12" to be working so that I can use the Lumicon Giant easy guider for some manual tracking and imaging. When I do go it will be for a all nighter. whats the view like from your place RB?

I'd be keen for an observing session at Kulnura this Saturday night ( I'll be up at the Mangrove Mountain Gliding Club in the day ) . Might even dust off my 345mm F4.8 Dobby if its on and and bring it along :)

I'd love to come guys, but I have organised a weekend away with Nina this weekend.

If anyone is interested the following Saturday night I might be a starter, but I won't have a scope (sold to Odlaw... )

I will be bringing my 10" scope with me. Andrew Murrell is probably going to come along as well but he will not be bringing Hector as he is physically indisposed.

I'd love to finally make a Kulnura session - will check for prior engagements with my girl tonight, we'll both come if we can.
Can someone post a link to directions and instructions..... I think I saw a lat/long posted once - would help!
Cheers

Last night at Kulnura was a terrific night with great views and great company.
Not too cold but fairly dewy at the end, we were treated to great views throughout the milkyway and beyond.

John B was treating us to a sky tour using the Argo Navis on his 10" dob and his Petax EPs, fantastic views, thanks John.

New members David and his brother Andrew also came up for a look.
Very nice to meet you both, thanks for your company guys.

Geoff the owl and Joe(astropolak) also joined us.
Poor Geoff froze to death because he forgot his freezer suit at home. :P :poke:

A big thanks to froggy (Anthony) for his hospitality once again.

We finally packed up around 2am, with another fantastic Kulnura get-together under our belt.

BUT - i did wear the boots to keep my toes warm RB

must admit though - if i had worn the suit the seat of my pants would not have got wet from sitting on the dewy chairs

who's gunna help me design the airconditioning unit for the suits so we can wear them at Lostock?
