Comes with:
- Full aperture solar filter
- 3 fully multi-coated Plossl 1.25" eyepieces:
- 25 mm (50x power)
- 15 mm (83x power)
- 9 mm (139x power)
- Televue 2x Barlow lens (doubles the magnification power of each eyepiece!! Meaning 100x, 166x and 278x with the included eyepieces)
- Hand-crafted custom-made water-resistant plywood storage/transport box (including original packing foam)
- 8x50 Correct Image Right Angle Finderscope
- Mirror cooling fan
- Power-pack to run the mirror cooing fan (if you want to use it - requires 8xAA batteries)
- Base with carry handle.
- Snap-on dust cap.
- Eyepiece rack for 2" and 1.25" eyepieces

The large aperture (diameter of the primary mirror) and F5 focal ratio of this telescope allows easy viewing of craters on the moon, billions of stars, the planets and some of their moons, rings and other features (like the cloud systems and transiting Great Red Spot on Jupiter! Or the great rings of Saturn!!!), detail in nebulas (including the Great Orion Nebula, Eta Carina Nebula, Tarantula Nebula, and many more!), galaxies, globular clusters and more!!!

SIMPLE TO USE: Just pull the telescope tube out of the hand-crafted storage box (see photos) and place on the stand, slide on the 8x50 Finder scope, slip in an eyepiece and you're ready to observe everything the night sky has to offer (or that the daytime sun has to offer... read on!).

AND - with the included full aperture glass SOLAR FILTER - you can pull it out in broad daylight to checkout the SUN, sunspots, solar eclipses, transits and even granulation on the solar surface!!! Awesome!

Specifications:
- Aperture: 254mm
- Focal length (f/#): 1250mm (f/5)
- Limiting magnitude: 14.5

More info:
This BINTEL telescope has an expertly figured and polished parabolic primary mirror made from BK-7 glass. It's guaranteed to be diffraction-limited, meeting the theoretical limits of resolution for its size.

The mirror is mounted in an aluminium cell that allows rapid equilibrium of the mirror to the outdoor temperature. A cooling fan is included to achieve faster cooldown. The secondary mirror is held in a fully adjustable four-vane spider.

Bintel's Dobsonians now include knurled collimation knobs on the primary mirror cell making precise optical alignment much easier - no more fumbling with tools in the dark.

The Bintel BT252 is equipped with a smooth 2" Crayford focuser featuring extra smooth 10:1 fine control for precise focusing even at high powers.

The new brake system makes the Dobsonian easier to balance and easier to use.
- First the side bearing can be moved back and forth allowing it to be positioned and set at the exact balance point of the telescope tube.
- Then the large knurled aluminium knobs can be tensioned to the perfect level for easy, precise movement of the telescope. If heavy eyepieces or the solar filter are being used simply apply a little more tension. If you prefer light, fluid movement you can back the brake off.

THE PRICE???
All in all this is a great telescope, not to be missed - pick up a bargain - all this for just $450.

The price for the same telescope and eyepieces new is $749, plus the solar filter at $249 - nearly $1,000 worth of value. This is less than half price for a top quality telescope that will provide many hours of fascination observing our cosmic backyard - and our place in the universe. Only selling to make room for a larger upgrade!
