This is also super sharp. The 10 minute Luminance subs are extremely sharp. The guiding was perfect. The guide star just sat there unmoving on the screen. If only were like that all the time!

AP140 F7.5, Tak flattener, PMX mount, Proline 16803 camera, Astrodon Gen 2 filters.

HaLRGB image. I am pretty sure this is my sharpest colour image ever.

Here's another version that pulls out more detail in the nebula and captures the violence of the area better:

Thanks Jo. I think I like the 2nd version better as it brought out more and is quite impactful.

Very nice Greg! Super bright with nice colour.

I only get this when guiding on a hot pixel

Glad you made most of the favorable conditions, well done!

Cheers

That made me laugh Rod! Yes hot pixel guiding that's usually when I see guide errors of 14.52!

I prefer the colour one. The stars are slightly larger in the colour shot, but the nebulosity is very well controlled. The most important features are very sharp in the colour shot. Nicely done.

Wow Greg, nice job ...with such high exposure t'is hard to make the full Eta Nebula interesting but you're right, nice sharp details mate, the final colour version is good (of course, the fluro lipstick pink version looks best to my eye ;)) but I really like the Ha only version, good stuff

I like the colour Greg and detail is ok, but I reckon you can do a little more to make the detail pop. Particularly around the keyhole and the wall near the keyhole. Maybe also take a bit of a look at some parts of the image that show a bit of a monochromatic look.

You're right it does look sharp and the extra work to the imaging system tuning has paid off. Keep them coming, it has been sometime since we have seen any imaging from you.

Two beautiful photos of outstanding quality Greg.

I prefer the first version with its smoother, more balanced look.

I think I'd like something in between the two versions, Greg :)

Cheers Paul. I'll have a look at that.

Thanks Ross. I definitely prefer the colour but like the drama of the 2nd.

Repro coming up!
