Nice Warren. I particularly like the Spanish Dancer--one of my favorite galaxies. Good detail.

I agree the Spanish Dancer image is sensational. A very good M83 but the Dancer is the best I have seen and also one of my favourites.

Yes, I have to agree.
I did a google image search and the only image that was better was taken with the hst.
I had expected to see an entry from the chart 32 scope (owners) to compare, but 1566 is conspicuous by its absence from their list.
Warren's is an outstanding image in all respects and is an emphatic demonstartion that there is no substitute for good data.

Superb images. 1566 is one of my favorite galaxies - yours is one of the best I've seen. M83 looks great too!

Both images are very nicely processed and with good colour. I like the detail in both galaxies, but the dancer is the sharpest looking.

Thanks so much guys! The Chart 32 guys are our neighbors. Volker and I were joking about shining flashlights down each others tubes. Your comments are much appreciated.
A great duo Warren. I like both of them.

Hi Warren,
There is so much to admire in both images, but (and I hope you will forgive me for saying so) I find the colours/sharpening just pushed too far in M83. Yes, all of this is quite subjective, no doubt, so it is just my personal view.

Good to see your name Peter! Hope music is good. Shame we didn't chat at last year's SWAP in Tucson. No offense taken. I have seen other gentler versions which are lovely.
