Hi All,

Another image for this month, weather is starting to give a few more clear nights.

Some may or may not like the composition, but I wanted some flaming chicken globules, and Thackeray's Globs have always fascinated me.

Image details:
Telescope: CDK 12.5 @f/8
Camera: SBIG STT-8300
Composition: Ha/Oiii(Ha)/Oiii, Ha/Oiii(Ha)/Oiii. 30min subs, bin 1x1, 450/630, 18 hours total.

I can highly recommend using SII in the mix here.

Your guiding is very good with nice round stars. Great detail and good looking 3D look to the image. Not keen on the colour but it is dealers choice.

Great potential.

Thanks for the feedback Paul. Colour is intentional as I wanted flaming gaseous look and something different. OIII and Ha allow me to achieve this via bi-colour composition.

SII will add no value for what I was intending but I do understand that it would add another dimension, but didn't really contribute to what I wanted in this case. At least that's what some test subs in SII led me to believe for this field. There was almost no gain to the detail components I wanted to display.

That's great Chris, like you say, you wanted something different and gaseous, so nice work as you have that and with some nice details, the Thackeray's look great

Superb globules and great stars. Wish I knew how to make my NB stars come out white like that.

It looks like Churchill's Cigar is being smoked by a ginger cat. I like that a lot.
