Aurora Now from Oberon!!!

These are pretty rough... It was a bit of a race to beat the clouds. ;)

The first one is looking south over my shed and lens optics and focus are not so good. The second one I stopped down a bit to improve the image but the clouds were closing in, so I aimed at the Milky Way. Aurora on the RHS and Sydney Glow on the LHS.

If you're in Sydney or possibly higher, get out there!

awesome Al - we are fully clouded here in Newcastle so how are you clear there?

Cloud was developing as I shot those pics. I would expect it to be fully clouded now... I just checked... Yep! No more for me tonight...

I'm at Kurrajong. I just took a round of exposures and no sign of any aurora in them. I am down a hill though so perhaps its closer to the horizon.

I managed to get this from Leura in the Blue Mountains at around 10:40pm.
The shots I took after this one definitely were no longer as red.
