Hi all,

http://astrophotography.com.au/eta-carina-fuji-x-e2-test/dscf0375-eta-carina-nebula-fuji-x-e2-test-shot/

A single 2 minute exposure:
Fuji X-E2
6400ISO
William Optics Megrez 90 (with no field flattener - couldn't find the right combination of attachments to use it :( )
Processed entirely in Lightroom.

Interesting to see what it could do. Certainly like the colour which the Fuji X-E2 delivers with low noise on these warmer summer nights.

I enjoyed taking the shot, first time inside my observatory at night for quite some time.

Regards,
Roger.

Beautiful image Roger I'm surprised how much detail you picked up in just a single 2 minute sub. Looks clean for ISO6400. Is your x-e2 modified or stock?

It's stock, although the extra colour it picks upover the Canon 6D I have wondered. :)

That's impressive Roger. It shows the benefits of the X trans colour filter array over the standard Bayer pattern. Good proof of performance for those who don't like the X Trans. They are not aware of how much extra low noise it gives the sensor (which is the same as the one in the Sony Nex 6 which would be way noisier than this).
