hey guys!
So my scope I bought is a little old, working well but in need of a little love. What do you guys like to use as a general cleaner and lubricant? Also a good way to remove the old grease from the working parts? I'm in North Queensland so it gets very humid here. Cheers!

I'm thinking of using White lithium grease as it seems to be commonly used. Hopefully it goes okay in the high temps and humidity. Would mineral turpentine be appropriate for removal of the old grease?
Cheers!

if you are dissembling -just use de-greaser , I've even used kitchen detergent

Dissolve the old grease with turp then WD40. No water.

The scope travel is much smoother now. Thanks for all the advice guys! Ended up using turps and wd-40 to clean up. The finder scope seems like it is a cheap one as it is very difficult to get a good zero and keep it. Should I purchase a new one or stick with it? I wont be using the scope every night but I would like it to keep its zero when I move it in and out of the house.
