You can see a reflection of the engine on the fuselage. I can not see any reflection of the camera or extension. Just clouds. Busted?:)

Of them, only the 2nd and 3rd are true Selfies. The 1st and last someone other than the target has taken the picture, so cant be selfie's.

Definitely no 3 is a crock. The wind would be at least a couple of hundred kph, no pilot in his right mind would do this even if it were possible. Not to mention the lack of oxygen at his altitude. Can you imaging holding on to a camera outside an aircraft doing several hundred kph!! I reckon this is a photoshop job....

FWIW if that's a 737, cruise speed is around .78 mach (around 450 knots or 830Km/h) , whatever product he uses to keep his hair in place and tie from fluttering must be good.... :rofl:

Phil, I was being ultra conservative, I know what speeds these aircraft do, even at approach speeds for landing the wind speed would be out of the question for this action to take place, hence my statement "crock".;)

He not only would not be/could not hold onto the selfie stick, IF he somehow managed to open the window in flight (impossible unless the aircraft was depressurised and he overrode a lot of safety parameters!), IF he got it open, his arm would be trailing behind him flapping against the fuselage torn from it's socket, his head would be slammed back into the surrounding frame, his eyes would most likely be severely damaged (if not frozen), he would be suffering EXTREME frostbite (probably, depending on cruising level but if they are Cu as they appear to be, maybe not FROZEN per se, but cold enough)... and so on.

There is an air safety documentary showing what happened to one pilot during an explosive decompression (he was a tad sore for a LONG LONG time and blinded by memory, but lived), as well as a US Navy documentary on a RIO in an A-6 intruder that was HALF ejected (before it stuck), and the pilot managed to land it - broken LOTS of things amongst other issues.

Anyway, no, 3 is not real - taken on the tarmac and then photoshopped.
