Heads up!.
Got the big girl out in the back yard right now and the seeing is pretty good. Hope it holds up for tomorrow night as well. Jupiter rising above the tree line soon and a nice breeze to clear the boundary layer across the mirror. :D

Hey Andrew I just sent an email to Gary at Servocat asking how to stop our hand controllers interfering, don't want to do that again lol.

Bugger - I'd forgotten about that. I'll bring my long cable just in case. You nearly knocked me off my ladder last time!

Hey I emailed Ninghan station and they said they allow people to overnight at the top of Mount Singleton for 10 bucks. I'm gonna give it a go later in the year.

Here's the hand controller solution I'll print a copy and we'll try it out .
Assuming you have the AutoBASE unit (the one with the blue and orange lights)... you get everything set up... base unit on – HC on working...
then turn the power off on the HC unit (the part in your hand) and hold the SRCH nrw button as you power it on (small switch at its top right)... when the lights come on let go of the switch. The lights above the 4 speeds and the 2 lights next to the yellow buttons all represent an address... turn on or off the lights to create a different channel than what he has – obviously you’re both on the same channel so only one of you need change. So if you do this and say hit the SLEW and JOG buttons ... then push the SRCH nrw for a second and you should see the green GOTO light blink and it will go to normal operation on the new channel – saved for your future use. [Note it will time out so don’t hesitate when selecting a new channel scheme...and all it takes is one channel different to make them not see each other]
