Does any have any plans for a build your own eye piece storage box?
I would like it to all hold other odds and ends. Currently using a "pick and pluck" foam tool box but have ran out of room.
How do people store this stuff like colminators, adapters filters etc.?
Thanks

I picked up a Celestron eyepiece case new on ebay for around $20 a
while back. Depending upon how much gear you have, one or two of them would probably do you. Mine has 8 x 1.25" EPs, 2x 2" EPs,
[15 and 30MM ], 2" 1.5x barlow. 2x 1.25" and 3x 1.25" barlows,
and OIII and Lumicon deep sky filters, and a compass. I had to make some changes to the cut outs in the foam of course. A second one could hold all your other accessories. They are strong, just like a tiny suitcase.

plan to eventually use a kincrome safe case, but currently the loan scope uses just a plastic tub from bigw.

Thanks,I have a kincrome safe case and have out grown it.
Maybe I'll add another that way I also pick up two sheets of pick and pluck foam to redo everything.
Still maybe the celestron case may work with pluck and pick foam that is on eBay.
Raymo could you provide rough dimensions for me, is it this case?

I brought a Craftright canterlever tool box, (divided compartment above), which holds all my ep's, 1.25 and 2 inch, plus filters, collimation tools etc, and is available from Bunnings Warehouse for about $45.

I got one of these from Jaycar. Pluckable foam, shoulder carrying strap, small key lock. All for $40.

There alre a few different ones in the store so have a look a look around (I used their search engine with "aluminium case" entered) and see what one takes your fancy, or to compare prices with other stores.

I try to make my setup as efficient as possible by fitting everything I need at the telescope into one case. I have used a Storm iM3100 case for the last couple of years. I modified it with red led lights that come on automatically when the lid is opened, plus a lid stay to hold the lid open. This one will be in the classifieds in a couple of weeks as I have updated to a larger iM3300 case.
