Hi to all

Given that there are very few opportunities to get new data these days because of the weather. I thought I would have another go at NGC 3324. My previous posting of this was a HaOIIIOIII with RGB stars. This time I didn't use the RGB stars but generated a synthetic green channel from the Ha and OIII. I thought it looked better displayed in portrait mode too (it is after all supposed to represent a face in profile).

Cheers

Steve

Smooth and detailed Steve. The synth green works well.

Well done. Good detail and handles zooming in quite well.

Thanks guys. I think I will be using this processing method a lot from now on.

Looks really good Steve.

Sharp and detailed and the face is very clear.

Ross.

Nice work Steve!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Quite unusual to see the dark filaments so prominent in the centre.
Did these come out in final processing or in a particular channel?

Cheers,

Justin.

Thanks Justin. The dark filaments are a feature as there's plenty of dust here. I did do some processing to bring them out more prominently though.

Thanks Rick. I'm still not completely happy with it but I feel that this is the best I can do.

Looks great Steve but you have changed the old versions
in your old threads to the same as this one -
so I can't compare them to see the improvement.

cheers
Allan

Thanks Allan. I only ever display the latest version which I agree makes comparison difficult.:P
