Hi All

About to pull the trigger on a new camera and have narrowed it down to a Canon 700d.

Do i go for the super kit with the Canon EF-S 18-135mm lens or the twin lens kit?

The camera will be used for astro work a lot. It will be limited to a tripod for quite a while so I'm thinking that the amount of light the lenses let in will be a factor too.

All advise is welcome.

Regards
Chris

Assuming you are talking about the 70D?
I am currently using one with the 135mm lens. As far as general photography is concerned, its amazing but have not had a shot at astro imaging. Love to hear some comments from users.

Hey Rom

Na, just the baby 700d, 70d is a bit out of my very tight budget.

Ive got the basic kit 18-55 and is pretty much basic. If you would like to get some lunar or dso image i think 135mm is still but a bit short for astro work plus i reckon youd need a tracker too.

If youre interested in landscape milky way shots you might want to get an uwa for it.

Well again, it all depends what you intend to have a shot on

The 18-135 is sharper than the both the kit lenses, infact the 75-300 is pretty useless for astro anyway, can always get another longer lens down the track !
