This is from about midnight Monday night. I have spent quite some time trying to get the most of the data, but my processing skills are still a work in progress.
Taken with a ZWO ASI120MC on 10" SW Newt with a Televue 2.5x Powermate.
I took the best 5% of the 3000 frames of each video (AS2) and processed in Registax 6.
I had packed up the camera and was just having a last look through the eyepiece when I saw the shadow of the moon. I had never observed that before so I stayed out a while longer. Pretty tired the next day but it was worth it.
The GIF is a combination of 19 videos from the night. The same process was used for each, (perhaps slightly different gains and exposure settings) but the seeing obviously improved throughout the night.

Any suggestions welcomed.
Cheers

Bob

g day Bob,

thanks for posting and especially for hanging in there for the moon, the time lapse is real cool.

i share your appreciation of the moon's movement. did u see the 3 moons thread in 'celestial n astronomical events'?

it seems to me you have got lotsa detail, but that's for others to critique.

thanks again, L

Thanks for your comments Lindon.
I hadn't seen the thread of the shadow transits until you mentioned it, but i've just had a look. Wow, Hubble's picture is incredible.

My image is not as good or as detailed as many on here, but it's all mine and i'm pretty happy with it for now.
I'll try again over the coming months and hopefully catch some good seeing, and maybe even get my 5x Powermate on it.
Cheers

Bob
