thank you.. I am new in this..I am not sure if this is perfect for astrophotography??? I have the Sky watcher ED80 telescope, would like to add a bigger one later.. suppose that ED80 would fit on this??
thanks
The weight of your ED80 is probably somewhere below 5kg and the CGEM is capable of carrying loads up to ca. 20 kg.
All my recent photos were taken with my 2nd CGEM, have a look here:

wow you shots are brilliant.. so it does have a tracking.. can I ask.. how did you take this and how long.. .. with your SLR or CCD.. and what program do you use.. as I am amazed of the colours... so why are you selling this mount? if you don't mind me asking..
I use both cameras, mono-CCD with filter wheel and 60Da(DSLR).
With the CGEM I achieved exposures of up to 1200s (guided).
The reason I'm selling it is that I have 2 CGEMs, one supposed to be used in "dark&fixed location, the second mount I use at my home backyard. The "dark&fixed" location is not going to happen ... :(
you didn't buy this mount in Australia.. I don't see any on Austarlia web site.. looking at those photos.. what type of telescope did you use.. I so want to achieve the looks like you have taken.. I so love your work.. (I am an newbie.. just starting to learn.. I have taken a few good ones.. ) yours seem to be closer.. I might have to buy another telescope. I am from South Australia.. so.. postage??? I might have to think about it...before I decided to buy it from you..
Hi Cola,
You can get them in Australia (for roughly $1000 more):

I use WO FLT132 and Orion ED80T …
PM me if you’re interested then I’ll try to get some quotes for the postage …

to add more questions.. how easy is this mount to set up at night. setting the polar alignments etc.. does this need a computer or can it be used a mobile to input the info into the goto syn scan ..
Life is busy when you have kids.. LOL
Hi Cola,
The CGEM mount has a HC (hand controller) but it can be also controlled using a computer (software is supplied on a CD or can be downloaded from the Celestron website.
I set it up with the Hand Controller and the average time to align it is roughly 15min – two star alignment + 4 calibration stars + polar alignment.
