January Full Moon over 2 Capes

Hi all,

Here are a couple of images of the Full Moon taken from Adventure Bay on Bruny Island (SE Tasmania) last month.

The first one shows the Moon rising over Cape Queen Elizabeth on 5th January. This one was shot with a 70-200mm telephoto while waiting for little penguins to return from the sea (https://www.flickr.com/photos/stephenmudge/16240061999/).

The second one, taken a couple of nights later with a 24mm lens, shows a golden-coloured Moon rising over Fluted Cape with Orion and Canis Major above. That's Cape Queen Elizabeth on the left hand side.

wide landscape with a belt of venus and a sharp lunar featured moon - a very ordinary pic ;) - gee you must do a heap of planning - always in awe!

Thanks David! Not too much planning for this one... like I said we were waiting for penguins and the Moon just happened to pop up in a good spot!
