Hi guys,
With Jove almost at opposition, here is an IR image and some experimentation with an IRGB image.
Lots of details visible and the seeing was quite good at this elevation.
Clear skies

:eyepop: Your jup shots are unreal. Nice catch having the moon so close to the shadow like this.

:thanx: John, what Marc said +1
i have been enjoying your shots and wondering why the moons don't show - thought/guessed it must be a processing thing due to the different movement rates. L

I'd say the experimentation was a success John!

A slight recoloured IRGB effort attached.
Thanks Marc.
thanks Paul - hoping to see your images.
Usually the moons are further out and I shoot a very narrow field.
Thanks Russ.
Cheers Graham
Thanks Domol - it was at 35 degrees, so quite low but still Jupiter is amazing!
Excellent capture John, I especially like the IR with Io detail. Gusty winds here prevented any quality images, however Bird did well on the protected western side of the hill.

Thanks Phil - have enjoyed seeing your Jupiter images - and looking forward to hearing more about your 20" scope.
That image link showing Anthony's W's image is very interesting showing the difference with a 16" and IR750 filter - I am using an IR685 and 12.5"
