I'm pretty happy with that one. It's only 25min and noisy, shot the same night as the comet but it's my best to date. Woohoo! I wanted to see how it fits in the fov of the new scope. Definitely will revisit next new moon and put a few hours on it to bring out the brown stuff it's embedded in.
There's a big one here (https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=6930D3AD12D5044C&id=6930D3AD12D5044C%211434&v=3).

Nice one Marc, I was at Coonabarabran a couple of nights ago enjoying a very clear view of it, then came back to Canberra where you hardly notice it at times.
Which is the new scope?
Edit: Never mind, just saw your other post re the FSQ. I really like what I have seen so far of the FSQ and the extender.

Very nice Marc. Quite superb for 25 min. Your rig is working well. Should be stunning with more data. Nice to see that mag 8 class K5 star at far right looking proudly orange.

Nice photo Marc.
It is so sharp.
The new telescope is showing such great potential.
You need to get it out to Coona! ;)

Thanks Matt. Yeah I'm chuffed with the scope. That was on my bucket list. :)
Thanks Mike. Looking forward to some more sky time.
Thanks Rick.
Thanks Justin.
Thanks mate.
Thanks Ross. Must be the shorter FL. Seems like I don't have to expose that long. It was more obvious on M78 which is pretty faint, and the rosette and the cone as well. Still got some decent data.
Yeah count me in for Coona. Can't wait to get under dark skies again. Got a 7:1 micro focuser for it in the post so I'll have motorised focusing happening soon.

Wow Marc, almost missed commenting on this...excellent, that FSQ is a piece of work, a really good M45 regardless of the low exposure time, well done

very nice Marc, way too low for me to attempt down here unfortunately. I'd be stoked with that as is, eagerly awaiting to see what you come up with in the new moon.
cheers

Thanks Russel. You should make the trip to Astrofest this August. I'm hoping to bag a couple of northern targets such as Andromeda and others that barely clear the fence from home.

Yeah, this is looking really good already Marc! It will be a real cracker of an image with additional data.
Looking forward to the final result, hope the clouds behave at new moon.

Thanks Graham. Yeah it would be even worse where you are. Funny how we always want to image what we can't see hey?
Thanks Rod. Yes that's the plan. Fingers crossed this Autumn and Winter gives us crisp, cold and clear nights.
